Hello all!

Just wanted to let everybody know that I've just activated the upload your avatar option for the boards.

The system is not all that intelligent tough, you will need to get the picture adjusted to some limits before you will be able to upload it to your profile.

The rules are simple:

150 width.
200 height.
50KB weight.

Once logged visit your profile admin page and you will notice the upload option with the rest of the avatar administration options.

For those running on Windows PCs, I recommend you use the Paint, a very simple program which will help you re-size your pics (from cameras, scanners, phones, etc) to the required size.

Otherwise, you can also use on-line services, like this one:
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/

Since they produce square avatars, you will have to use 150 as the resizing option there.
Once you hit the re-size button, you will be presented with a few cropping options (if apply) and the corresponding "download now" links for downloading the re-sized image to your PC (remember where you save it!!!), then you came to the boards, and upload it in your profile administration page.

Hope this helps everyone have avatars that don't disrupt the pages layout because of their size.
